About Solitaire

Solitaire, also called Klondike, is the card game most people know from their first computer. You build four foundation piles from Ace up to King by suit, using seven tableau columns where cards stack in alternating colours from high to low.

The GameHub version checks that every deal can be won, so you are never stuck with an impossible game. It offers draw 1 or draw 3, unlimited undo, a hint button, auto complete when the end is certain, and a daily deal that is the same for every player. Your stats and streak are saved.

How to play

  1. Tap the stock pile to turn over cards onto the waste pile. In draw 1 you flip one card at a time, in draw 3 you flip three.

  2. Build tableau columns downward in alternating colours, for example a red 6 on a black 7. Drag a card or a run of cards onto a legal column.

  3. Move Aces to the foundation piles and build each suit upward from Ace to King.

  4. Tap a card to send it to the best legal spot automatically, preferring the foundation. Only a King can fill an empty column.

  5. Clear all 52 cards onto the foundations to win. Use Undo to take back moves and Hint if you are stuck.

Frequently asked questions

Is Solitaire free on Android?

Yes. Solitaire is included in GameHub, a free Android app. You can play Klondike, switch between draw 1 and draw 3, and use undo and hints without paying.

Can I undo moves in Solitaire?

Yes, undo is unlimited while a game is in progress, so you can step back as many moves as you like. If you close the app and return later, the earlier undo history is not kept.

Is every deal winnable?

Yes. Each deal is searched for a solution before it is shown, so a win is always possible. Whether you find it depends on your play, and Hint can point out a useful move.

What is the daily deal?

The daily deal is a single shuffle based on today's date, so every player gets the same cards on the same day. Completing it keeps your daily streak going.

What is the difference between draw 1 and draw 3?

Draw 1 turns over one card from the stock at a time, which is easier. Draw 3 turns over three, and only the top card is playable, which makes the game harder.
