How to use QR Code Generator

  1. Choose Text / URL or Wi-Fi.

  3. Adjust size, colours and error correction.
  4. Download the PNG or SVG.

How QR codes work

A QR code stores text as a grid of black and white squares. A phone camera reads the grid, corrects any damage using built-in redundancy (error correction), and acts on the content: opening a link, showing text or joining Wi-Fi. Because everything is stored in the code itself, a static code works offline and forever.

Tips for codes that scan reliably

  • Keep strong contrast: dark dots on a light background. Inverted codes fail on many scanners.
  • Do not make it tiny: at least about 2 cm (0.8 in) square for printed codes.
  • Keep the quiet zone, the blank border around the code.
  • Shorter content makes a simpler code that scans faster, so use short URLs.
  • Always test with a couple of phones before printing a thousand flyers.

Wi-Fi QR codes

Enter your network name, password and security type (most home routers use WPA/WPA2/WPA3). Anyone who scans the code with a modern phone camera is offered a one-tap join. Because the password is inside the code, only display it where you are happy for visitors to connect.

Why use this qr code generator tool

  • Static codes that never expire. The data is inside the code, so there is no redirect service to shut down.
  • PNG and SVG. SVG scales perfectly for print.
  • Wi-Fi codes. Guests scan to join your network.
  • No watermark. Free for personal and commercial use.

Frequently asked questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. They are static: your text or URL is encoded directly into the pattern, so they keep working forever and need no account.

Which error correction level should I use?

Medium (15%) suits most uses. Choose High (30%) if the code may get dirty or you place a logo over it. Higher levels make the code denser.

Can I print it?

Yes. Download the SVG for the sharpest print, keep dark dots on a light background and leave a blank margin around the code.
