About Block Blast

Block Blast is a relaxed but tricky block puzzle played on a 10 by 10 grid. You are given three shapes at a time and drag each one onto the board. Fill a whole row or column and it clears, making room for the next piece. There is no timer, so you can take your time.

The GameHub version shows a preview as you drag, rewards back-to-back clears with a growing combo multiplier, and gives a bonus for emptying the whole board. Your best score is kept, and an unfinished game is saved so you can come back to it later.

How to play

1. Look at the three pieces in the tray below the board.

2. Drag a piece onto the grid. A preview shows where it will land and which lines it will complete.

3. Fill a whole row or column to clear it. You can clear several lines with one piece.

4. Place all three pieces and a new set of three is dealt. Pieces cannot be rotated.

5. The game ends when none of the pieces in your tray fits anywhere on the board.

Pro tips

• Keep your pieces in one area and leave long open rows and columns, so awkward shapes still have somewhere to go.
• Check all three pieces before placing the first one. The right order can clear lines that make room for the rest.
• Chain clears on back-to-back turns. The combo multiplier makes consecutive clears worth far more.
• Clearing several lines at once scores much more than clearing them one by one, because the score rises with the square of the lines.
• Avoid leaving single isolated empty cells, since few pieces can fill them.
