About Gem Match

Gem Match is a classic match-three puzzle. You swap neighbouring gems to line up three or more of the same colour, watch them pop, and keep going as new gems tumble down and sometimes chain into cascades. Every level gives you a limited number of moves and a goal to reach.

The GameHub version has endless levels that never run out. Boards change shape as you progress, goals switch between score, collecting one colour and breaking ice, and you earn up to three stars per level. Special gems and two boosters help with tricky boards, and your game is saved so you can come back later.

How to play

Tap a gem, then tap a neighbouring gem to swap them. A swap only works if it makes a match of three or more, or involves a special gem.
Matched gems pop, the gems above fall down and new ones drop in. Cascades happen on their own and add to your score.
Check the goal at the top of the level: reach a target score, clear a number of gems of one colour, or break every block of ice.
Finish before your moves run out. The more moves you have left, the more stars you earn, up to three.
Stuck on a hard spot? Use the hammer to smash one gem or the shuffle to mix up the board. Neither costs a move.

Pro tips

Look for swaps that make four or five in a row, because they create special gems that clear much more of the board.
Work near the bottom of the board first. Gems you match low down make others fall and can set off free cascades.
On ice levels, aim matches at the frozen cells rather than clearing gems elsewhere.
Save the hammer and shuffle for the end of a level when one stubborn gem or a stuck board is all that stands in your way.
Count your moves against the goal before each swap, and avoid wasting moves on small matches when you are close to the limit.

Is Gem Match free?

Yes. Gem Match is a free download inside the GameHub app for Android. You can play every level without paying, and there is no need to create an account to start playing.

How many levels does Gem Match have?

The levels are endless. Each level number always gives the same layout and goal, and the game gets harder for a while with more colours and fewer moves before the difficulty holds steady.

What are the goals in each level?

There are three kinds. You either reach a target score, clear a set number of gems of one colour, or break every block of ice on the board. Every fifth level from level 5 is an ice level.

How do I make special gems?

Match four or more gems in a line, or match gems in an L or T shape. These create line gems, bomb gems or colour bombs that clear whole rows, columns, areas or every gem of one colour.

What do the boosters do?

The hammer smashes any single gem you tap, and you get two per level. The shuffle mixes up the whole board, and you get one per level. Neither of them uses up a move.
