About Gate Dash

Gate Dash is a run-and-shoot arcade game where the size of your squad is your power. Your group runs forward on its own while you steer it sideways through gates that add, multiply, subtract or divide your numbers. It is simple to learn and rewards smart choices.

In GameHub's version each stage ends with a boss. Your squad stops and shoots while you dodge the boss's slams. Win to earn one to three stars and reinforcements, then start the next, harder stage. Your best score is saved on your device.

How to play

Touch the screen to start. Your squad starts with 5 members and runs forward by itself.
Drag your finger left or right anywhere on the screen to steer the squad sideways.
Pass through the left or right side of each gate. Plus and times gates grow your squad, while minus and divide gates shrink it, so choose the better side.
Your squad shoots enemies ahead. Steer around hazards and any enemy blocks you cannot defeat in time, and pick up coins, rapid fire and shields.
At the end of a stage the squad stops in front of a boss. Keep shooting and move away from the red warning zone before each slam.
Beat the boss to earn stars, get reinforcements and move on to the next stage. The run ends if your squad drops to zero.

One-finger steering

Drag anywhere on screen to slide the squad left and right.

Math gates

Choose between add, multiply, subtract and divide gates to build the biggest squad.

Power-ups

Collect coins, rapid fire for extra damage, and a shield that blocks one hit.

Boss fights

Each stage ends with a boss that warns you with a red zone before it slams.

Stars and stages

Win 1 to 3 stars per boss and keep going through stage after stage.

Best score and leaderboard

Your best score is saved and your result is sent to a GameHub leaderboard.

Pro tips

Compare both gates before you reach them. A times gate is usually better than a plus gate once your squad is big.
Stay out of the way of hazards, because each one takes a chunk of your squad.
Save your shield for a boss slam or a large enemy block.
Move to the safe side as soon as the red zone appears, then get back to a spot where you can keep shooting.
A bigger squad shoots more, so grow it before an enemy block or boss rather than after.

How do you control Gate Dash?
