How to use Timetable Maker
- Choose the days (Monday to Friday, Saturday or Sunday), the start and end time and the length of each slot.
- Click any cell and type a subject, task or activity. Press Tab or click another cell to continue.
- Select a cell and choose a colour to group similar subjects, such as one colour for maths and another for languages.
- Press Download PNG to save an image, or Print or save as PDF to print it on paper.
Setting up a timetable that works
Start with the shape of your week. Decide which days you need and the earliest and latest hours you will use, then choose a slot length that matches how your day is divided. School periods are often 40 to 60 minutes, while a study plan can use 30 or 45 minutes.
It is easier to start with fixed commitments such as lessons, work or travel, and then fit flexible things such as homework, exercise and rest around them.
Tips for a timetable you will follow
- Use colours by type of activity, not by day, so patterns are easy to see.
- Leave breaks and meals in the plan. A timetable with no gaps is hard to keep.
- Keep entries short. Long text is shortened in the PNG so it fits in the cell.
- Review it after a week and adjust the slots that did not work.
- Print it and put it where you will see it, or save the PNG as your phone wallpaper.
Printing and saving
Use Download PNG for a picture you can share or set as a wallpaper. Use Print or save as PDF for a paper copy; in the print window, choose Save as PDF if you want a file. Printing uses landscape layouts best when you have six or seven days, so change the orientation if the columns look cramped.
Your timetable and settings are stored in this browser only. They are not sent to any server, and clearing site data erases them, so keep a downloaded copy of anything important.
Limits
This tool makes one weekly timetable at a time. It does not create repeating calendar events or reminders, and it cannot share a timetable between devices. Each cell holds up to 80 characters, and slots run on the hour or in the lengths shown.
Why use this timetable maker tool
- Your hours, your slots. Pick start and end times and slots of 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes to match a school day, a college schedule or a study plan.
- Colour coding. Give each cell one of eight soft colours so subjects and activities stand out at a glance.
- PNG and print. Download a high-resolution PNG, or print the timetable or save it as a PDF from the print dialog.
- Saved in your browser. Your timetable is kept on this device so you can return and edit it. Nothing is uploaded, and no account is needed.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a timetable online for free?
Choose your days, start and end time and slot length, click a cell and type what happens then, and colour it if you like. When you are done, press Download PNG, or print it. There is no sign-up and no watermark.
How do I make a study timetable?
Set the hours you can study, use one-hour or 45-minute slots, and fill each slot with a subject. Add short breaks as their own slots, and give each subject a colour. Plan harder subjects for the times you concentrate best, and leave a gap or two for catching up.
Can I print my timetable or save it as a PDF?
Yes. Press Print or save as PDF and choose Save as PDF in the print window if you want a file. Only the timetable is printed, not the rest of the page.
Is my timetable saved?
It is saved automatically in this browser on this device, so it is still here when you come back. Clearing your browser data removes it, and it does not sync between devices, so download the PNG as a backup.
Can I make a school or class timetable with periods?
Yes. Pick a slot length that matches your periods, such as 45 minutes, and set the start and end times of the school day. Type each subject into its period, and use a cell for lunch or breaks.
