When you need images as a PDF

Many portals accept only PDF: visa and bank applications, university admissions, expense claims. A PDF also keeps several photos in a fixed order that opens the same on every device. Converting a set of phone photos of a paper document into one PDF is one of the most common uses.

Getting a good result

  • Photograph documents flat, in good light, from straight above.
  • Rename or order images so pages come out in the right sequence.
  • Use “Fit to image” to keep the exact image proportions with no white bars.
  • Use A4 for most of the world and US Letter for the US and Canada.
  • Compress large photos first if the resulting file must stay under an upload limit.

Privacy

Many converters upload your pictures to a server. This one builds the PDF with the pdf-lib library entirely inside your browser, so identity documents, receipts and personal photos stay on your device.

Why use this jpg to pdf converter tool

  • Many images, one PDF. Each image becomes a page.
  • Page sizes. A4, US Letter, or the exact size of each image.
  • Auto orientation. Landscape images get landscape pages.
  • Private. The PDF is built in your browser.

Can I scan documents to PDF with this?

Yes. Photograph or scan each page, add the images in order and create the PDF.

How do I make the PDF smaller?

Resize or compress the images first with our Image Compressor, then convert.
