Asking Questions
To ask a yes/no question in the present, use "do" or "does" before the subject. To ask for information, start with a question word like what, where, when, who, why, or how.
The rule
Do/Does + subject + verb? · What/Where/When/Who/Why/How + do/does + subject + verb?
