Data Structures Introduction
A data structure is a way to organise data in memory. Choosing the right one makes your code faster and easier to read — the difference between an instant answer and one that crawls as the data grows.
JavaScript gives you two powerful structures for free: the array (an ordered list) and the object (named values). In this track you use these, and build the classics — stack, queue, linked list, hash map and tree — on top of them. Every lesson has a live editor with a console, so you run the real thing as you read.
const nums = [4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42]
console.log("First:", nums[0])
console.log("Size:", nums.length)

As you read, think about the cost of each operation — how much the work grows as the data grows. That idea is called Big-O, and it is why we pick one structure over another. The last lesson covers it.
