CSS Introduction

CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) controls how HTML looks — colours, fonts, spacing and layout. HTML is the content; CSS is the styling.

A CSS rule has a selector (what to style) and a declaration block of property: value; pairs:

h1 {
  color: blue;
  font-size: 32px;
}
