- Saying "I am feeling pregnant" instead of "I am pregnant" (pregnancy is a state, not a feeling).
- Saying "When is the delivery date?" in casual speech instead of the more common "When is the due date?"
- Saying "I am doing pregnancy" instead of "I am pregnant."
- Saying "She is in family way" in formal speech instead of the clearer "She is expecting a baby."
- Saying "baby kicking" instead of "the baby is kicking" or "I felt the baby kick."
