Common mistakes
- Saying "I did placement" instead of "I got placed" or "I got a job through campus placement."
- Saying "clear in the round" instead of "clear the round" or "get through the round."
- Saying "my package is high" instead of "my package is good" — good/attractive is more natural than high for a salary package.
- Saying "I have backlog" instead of "I have a backlog" (don't drop the article "a").
- Saying "I am doing internship" instead of "I am doing an internship" or "I am interning."
- Saying "cut off is very less" instead of "the cut-off is very low" — use "low/high," not "less," for a cut-off score.
